3,400 mA steep, committing ski mountaineering tour with an impressive final climb and a superb summit descent.

The tour
What to expect.
A demanding ski mountaineering tour leads to this beautifully shaped summit on the Gurgler ridge. The extremely steep upper north-west face and the transition from the Gaisbergferner to the Hochfirstferner require very solid kick-turn technique.
Using both sections of the Hohe Mut lift saves around 450 vertical metres and begins the day with a 200-metre descent.
The views towards the Gaisbergferner and its hanging glacier, the Pfelderer Valley and the surrounding Ötztal summits are exceptional. The summit descent is a serious objective for very good, experienced skiers and suitable conditions only.
A private full-day tour, adapted to the group and conditions.
Depending on the chosen start and route variant.
From the stated starting point to the summit.
Transceiver, shovel and probe. Additional technical equipment when required.
