A beautiful Obergurgl classic with a steep, exposed summit ascent.
Eisseekögele is the shortest ski tour from the Langtalereck Hut. After a relaxed, enjoyable overnight stay, we climb through the Innere Hochebenkar to the summit and descend into the Rotmoostal — a wonderful circuit with fantastic summit views and beautiful slopes that often hold undisturbed powder.
There are several options for Day 1:
Option 1: Make your own way to the Langtalereck Hut.
Option 2: Ascend to the hut accompanied by your mountain guide.
Option 3: Combine the hut approach with a summit ascent.
The cost of Day 1 depends on the number of guests and the option you choose. We will be happy to prepare a personalised offer for you.
Ascend across open slopes into the Innere Hochebenkar, then climb steeply to the notch between the Hochebenkamm and Eisseekögele. Leave the skis at the ski depot and continue along a broad ridge, which later narrows, to the summit cross and magnificent panoramic views.
Descend to the ski depot, then either return to the hut along the ascent route or ski the beautiful north-facing slopes into the Rotmoostal and continue via the Schönwies Hut back to Obergurgl.

A long glacier tour through magnificent high-alpine scenery, ending with an exciting, exposed summit climb.
A dream glacier tour to the most beautiful mountain in the Ötztal Alps. The ascent from the ski depot to the rugged, extremely exposed summit requires sure-footedness and a head for heights, even with rope protection. The narrow summit plateau rewards us with an unrivalled panoramic view.

Start early with a short descent into the Langtal or the Gurgler Gorge, depending on the chosen route. Ascend over the heavily crevassed Langtalerferner and a steep step to the Annajoch and ski depot, or via the Gurgler Gorge and Gurgler Ferner to the Annajoch and ski depot. A spectacular climb over several steep rises and towers leads to the summit of Hochwilde.
Descend over the Langtalerferner and through the Langtal, followed by a short reascent of around 20 minutes back to the hut.

A demanding tour with exceptionally rewarding skiing on Obergurgl’s local high-alpine peak.
A difficult, thrilling ski summit with a magnificent steep descent directly onto the Gurgler Ferner in suitable conditions! For skiing, this is arguably the most rewarding summit in the Langtalereck Hut touring area. An exciting morning starts through the Gurgler Gorge. The summit offers far-reaching views of the peaks of the upper Ötztal and the Texel Group, with wonderful views south across the vast Gurgler Ferner to Hochwilde at its head.

A striking Seelenkamm summit with an impressive glacier approach and a demanding final ascent.
A spirited ski tour from the Langtalereck Hut to the striking Mittlerer Seelenkogel. Depending on conditions, the summit ascent can be quite difficult. The exposed summit rewards us with magnificent 360° views, especially across the impressive Wasserfallferner to the Hinterer Seelenkogel at its southern end. In suitable conditions, the descent directly from the summit via the Seelenferner into the Langtal offers superb skiing.

A moderately difficult glacier tour to a major Alpine summit, with a demanding Wasserfallferner descent option.
A magnificent ski tour with a wonderful traverse option and a descent over the steep Wasserfallferner into the Rotmoostal.
