From the Brandenburger Haus across vast glaciers to Fluchtkogel and Wildspitze.
Day 1 · From Vent, we ascend via the Hochjoch Hospiz and the scenic Gustav Delorette trail to the Kesselwandferner. Crossing the glacier brings us to the Brandenburger Haus at 3,270 metres. In the evening, a short walk towards the Dahmannspitze offers a remarkable view of sunset. Allow around 2½ hours to the Hochjoch Hospiz and another 3½ hours to the hut, with about 1,400 metres of ascent.
Day 2 · We cross the Kesselwandferner and upper Guslarjoch to the Fluchtkogel (3,500 m), then descend over the Guslarferner to the Vernagt Hut for our second night. Allow roughly 1½–2 hours to the summit and another 2 hours to the hut; the climb to the Fluchtkogel gains about 300 metres.
Day 3 · Across the moraine and Vernagtferner, we climb to the Brochkogeljoch, move onto the heavily glaciated north side and traverse the Taschachferner to the Wildspitze’s southwest ridge. A short mixed passage leads to the summit at 3,770 metres. We descend via the Mitterkarjoch or, if conditions allow, over the north summit and Rofenkarferner towards the Breslauer Hut and Vent. Allow about 4½–5 hours from the Vernagt Hut to the summit and roughly 3½ hours from the summit to Vent, with about 1,200 metres of ascent on the final day.

Three glacier days from the Brandenburger Haus to Weißseespitze and Fluchtkogel.
Day 1 · From Vent, we climb via the Hochjoch Hospiz and the scenic Gustav Delorette trail to the Kesselwandferner. Crossing the glacier brings us to the Brandenburger Haus. After dinner, a walk towards the Dahmannspitze (3,400 m) is a wonderful way to watch the sunset. Allow around 2½ hours to the Hochjoch Hospiz and another 3½ hours to the hut, with about 1,400 m of ascent.
Day 2 · After a short descent to the Kesselwandjoch, we step onto the vast Gepatschferner. A gentle ascent over roughly six kilometres leads to the Weißseespitze (3,510 m), with approximately three hours of walking on the glacier. We return by the ascent route to the Brandenburger Haus. Around 6–7 hours in total, with 300 m ascent and 300 m descent.
Day 3 · We cross the Kesselwandferner and upper Guslarjoch to the nearby Fluchtkogel (3,500 m). The descent follows the Guslarferner to the Vernagt Hut and continues to Vent. Allow around 1½–2 hours and 300 m ascent from the Brandenburger Haus to the summit, then roughly 2 hours down to the Vernagt Hut.
The route depends on current glacier and weather conditions.

A four-day glacier circuit linking Fluchtkogel, Weißseespitze and Weißkugel.
Day 1 · You walk independently from Vent to the Vernagt Hut and meet your guide over dinner to discuss the route and prepare for the days ahead. Allow around 3½ hours and 800 metres of ascent.
Day 2 · Together we cross the Guslarferner and upper Guslarjoch to the Fluchtkogel (3,500 m), then traverse the Kesselwandferner to the Brandenburger Haus at 3,274 m. There is time to enjoy the panorama and, if conditions and energy allow, walk towards the Dahmannspitze for sunset. Around 4 hours, 900 m ascent and 300 m descent.
Day 3 · A short descent to the Kesselwandjoch brings us onto the vast Gepatschferner. We cross around six kilometres of glacier to the Weißseespitze, then retrace part of our route before descending the scenic Richtersteig to the Weißkugelhütte (2,534 m). Around 6–7 hours, 300 m ascent and 1,000 m descent.
Day 4 · The main summit day leads over the Langtauferer Ferner and Weißkugeljoch to the Hintereisjoch, then up the south ridge to the Weißkugel (3,739 m). We descend the long Hintereisferner to the Hochjoch Hospiz and continue to Vent. Allow around 9–10 hours to the hospiz and roughly two more hours to Vent, with approximately 1,300 m ascent and 1,800 m descent in total.
Tip · An extra night at the Hochjoch Hospiz breaks up the very long final descent.
